Suffolk Peanut Fest will celebrate its 40th anniversary Oct. 5-8 at the Suffolk Executive Airport festival site in Suffolk, VA.
The Suffolk Peanut Fest is a family-friendly event honoring Suffolk’s agriculture heritage and devotion to peanuts will feature midway rides for all ages, live music, a demolition derby, silent disco, exhibits, crafts, contests, bingo, carnival games, favorite fair food and Saturday night fireworks.
Festival highlights include the Peanut Fest Demolition Derby (7 pm Friday), Cornhole Tournament (1 pm Saturday), Big Daddy Motorsports Mud Jam (1 pm Saturday), Peanut Butter Sculpture Contest (2 pm Saturday), Michael Ray concert (8:15 pm Saturday) and Joe Nichols concert (3:30 pm Sunday).
Festival admission is $10 per day, $30 for a 4-day pass, and free for children ages 6 and younger. On Carload Thursday, admission and unlimited rides are $40 per car, van or truck for up to 8 legally seated passengers.
On Sunday, Military Appreciation Day, active and retired military with proper ID receive half-price individual admission.
Ride tickets are $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. Rides take 3 or more tickets each. Unlimited ride wristbands are available on Sunday for $30 each. Visit DreamlandAmusements.com for a coupon for $5 off ride wristbands.
Festival hours are 2 to 10:30 pm Thursday, 10 am to 11 pm Friday – Saturday, and 10 am to 7 pm Sunday at 1410 Airport Road.
