The Berlin Fair returns Sept. 15-17 to East Berlin, CT, for a fun-filled 69th season with exciting entertainment, midway rides, agriculture events and a variety of food for every appetite.
The annual Berlin Lions Club’s, The Berlin Fair, features live music, NoJoe’s Circus, Painted Pony Rodeo, World of Wheels kart racing, livestock shows and draws, truck and tractor pulls, Extraordinary Variety Show, exhibits, contests, traditional fair food and much more, dozens of vendors, carnival games and rides for all ages.
Fair highlights include the Children’s Rodeo (2 pm Friday), Connecticut State Tractor Pullers (5-11 pm Friday), Frankie Ballard concert (4 pm Saturday), Last Licks concert (7 pm Saturday) and Jeff Pitchell & Legends Show with Gregg Allman’s son Michael, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s nephew Tyrone and B.B. King’s daughter Claudette (3 pm Sunday).
Tasty fair fare prepared by community organizations will include hot buttered lobster rolls, smoked turkey legs, fried mac and cheese, chowders, homemade pies, peach fritters, old-fashioned candy and fudge, and chocolate-covered bacon and other deep-fried goodies.
Daily fair admission is $12 for ages 12 and older, $8 for seniors 62 and older, and free for children under 12.
Unlimited ride wristbands are $30 on Friday and Sunday. Ride tickets are $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. Rides take 3 or more tickets each. Visit DreamlandAmusements.com for coupon savings on rides and food.
Fair hours are 11 am to 10 pm Friday, 9 am to 10 pm Saturday, and 9 am to 7 pm Sunday at the Berlin Fairgrounds at 430 Beckley Road.
