The Columbus County Agriculture Fair will celebrate its 38th season Oct. 10-15 in Whiteville, NC, with exciting midway rides for all ages, the Star Dust Circus, live music, Bob Bohm’s Family Entertainment & Magic Shows, Old McDonald’s Farm, Flimsy the Clown, local entertainment, exhibits, contests, carnival games and favorite fair food.
The Columbus County Agriculture Fair highlights include a tractor pull (6 pm Wed.), diaper derby (7 pm Wed.), country singer Chris Nash (7 pm and 9 pm Thurs.), demolition derbies (7 pm Fri., 7 pm Sat.; $3 entry fee), Blackwater Rhythm & Blues Band (7 pm and 9 pm Sat.), and talent contest finals (3 pm Sun.).
Fair admission is $8 for ages over 4 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; $4 on Thursday; and $30 per carload on Sunday for all legally seated passengers, rides included.
Unlimited ride wristbands are regularly $18 per person and $14 on Thursday. Ride tickets are also available for $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. Rides take 3 or more tickets each.
Fair hours are 5 to 11 pm Tuesday – Wednesday, 3 to 11 pm Thursday – Saturday, and 1 to 8 pm Sunday at the Columbus County Fairgrounds at 886 Prison Camp Road.
