The Ulster County Fair returns to New Paltz, NY, July 31 – August 5 for another jam-packed season of quality entertainment and activities.
A family-fun tradition since 1886, the Ulster County Fair features midway rides and games, concerts including The Charlie Daniels Band, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, Two by Two educational petting zoo, Butterfly Experience, Wednesday night fireworks, horse shows, livestock shows, truck and tractor pulls, chainsaw carving champion Josh Landry, The Moogician show, 4-H and community exhibits, wool spinning and weaving demonstrations, favorite fair food and more.
Unlimited midway rides, shows and entertainment are all included with fair admission.
Headline concert acts are Thunder Ridge (7 pm Tuesday); Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters (8 pm Wednesday); The Charlie Daniels Band (8 pm Thursday); Keith Anderson (4 pm and 8 pm Friday); Jenny Tolman (7 pm Saturday); Cale Dodds (8 pm Saturday); and Journey former lead singer Steve Augeri (5:30 pm Sunday).
Other events include the Garden Tractor Pull (6 pm Tuesday); Horse Shows (Wednesday – Sunday); Truck Pull (7 pm Thursday); Antique Tractor Pull (6 pm Friday); and Baby Contest (11 am Sunday).
Pay-one-price admission is $50 per vehicle (up to 8 occupants) on Carload Tuesday, $17 per person (adults and children 36 inches and taller) Wednesday – Sunday, and free for seniors ages 62 and older on Thursday till 4 pm.
Fair hours are 4-10 pm Tuesday, 10 am – 10 pm Wednesday – Thursday, 10 am – midnight Friday – Saturday, and 10 am – 8 pm Sunday at the Ulster County Fairgrounds at 249 Libertyville Road.
Dreamland Amusements midway hours are 4-11 pm Tuesday, 11 am – 11 pm Wednesday – Saturday, and 11 am – 9 pm Sunday.fes
